Best Steam Iron to Buy

I've been doing a lot of thinking on steam irons lately because I'm always trying to figure out what the best kind is. I've been using quite a few over the years and had the pleasure of seeing some very good things and at times some of the bad things. The reason I've been thinking about the best steam iron is that I really want to give it as a Christmas gift to friends of mine. They're new home owners and I know that they'd like to have one of them in their home.

Since there are many great steam irons on the market, I have to come up with a list by brands. I wish I could narrow it down to just one best steam iron, but each brand has their own benefits and they bring unique features to the table that you're probably going to want to have.

Panasonic Steam Iron

This is actually one of my favorites and it is something that I would definitely use as a Christmas present. I actually talked about Panasonic on the front page of best steam iron. The particular iron that I really liked was the NI-C78SR. That is the model number, but it is actually a mix of a steam iron and a dry iron. This makes it very versatile for those that have it. It means that you can use it like a traditional iron, or you can use it vertically as a steamer.

Another feature that I really enjoyed about this particular model is the retractable cord. This was something of a pet peeve for me. I have a young child that is crawling around on the floors and I didn't want them pulling on a hanging cord, which could cause the iron to fall on them. The same can be true if you have a pet that likes to chew on things. It is a feature that I feel helps it to be the best steam iron to buy. It's really good for homes and you should get very good things out of it.

Black & Decker Steam Iron

Black and Decker is pretty much a household name now. It has been around for a long time and in that time it has earned the trust of millions of consumers. This is why I really like this brand because it is something that people know is reliable and they know it is a company that stands behind the products it creates. The particular model that I liked is the D2030, which is actually a digital steam iron.

The digital technology isn't something that is going to be too advanced for you. It's really quite simple and it is designed to help get exact steam temperatures. When you can actually get the exact temperature of things, you are able to protect the fabrics you're steaming. If you're doing your jeans than it is no big deal, but if you're doing delicate fabrics then you need a specific temperature for the fabric. With this best steam iron from Black and Decker you're going to easily be able to iron everything.

Sunbeam Steam Iron

The Sunbeam 4222 steam iron is something that I really like. I think the main reason that attracts me to it is that it has an auto off feature for the iron. Have you had those moments where you're away from your home and you think that you might have forgot to turn off the iron? I have them all the time, but you won't have to worry about this sort of thing with Sunbeam. The difference here is that it has a timer on it and it will shut off after 30 minutes. That means it will be off before it can cause any damage.

It also has a nice non-stick surface on it. It may not seem like an important feature, but after you start ironing a diverse amount of fabrics you'll start to see the value. This will help the best steam iron glide easily over your clothing and you don't have to worry about it sticking. I know that some other irons I've used in the past have had issues in that department and this is a nice change.

Conair Steam Iron

It may sound like an odd company for making steam irons, but Conair actually makes them. And they do a pretty good job at it. Something worth mentioning for the best steam iron to buy. The best that I've come across is the Conair DPP300 Palm Press Iron. This particular iron is nice for those that are looking for something that is smaller and easier to store. You can definitely use this as a travel steam iron if you want because it isn't that big.

Overall it is the simplicity that sells this particular iron. It is very easy to use and fill up with water. It produces steam at 800 watts and another interesting feature that it has is an 8 foot power cord. That gives you the ability to do your ironing anywhere you want. There should be a cord at least 8 feet away from you. It also has a very good warranty of one year.

The reason that they call it the 'palm press iron' is that it is something that is going to fit into the palm of your hand. It's for small and simple.
