Finding the right iron for your house doesn’t have to be that difficult. I created this website to give you better options that will help you make the right choice and get what you need. The reality is that most people don’t know much about the steam iron or what it can do for them. Even myself at one time, I didn’t really know that much either. Most of us grew up with a very simple iron in our home. We seen our parents pull out the ironing board and do your clothes. It’s something we all know and feel comfortable with. You may not be a wiz at using it, but you do at least understand how it works.
Steam is an entirely different game and that can be intimidating.
Why Use Steam?
Well there are a number of reasons that you probably haven’t even heard of. The marketing isn’t really that great, but this is superior product when you compare it to a rival.
- Steam is Easier on Fabrics: When you use steam you’re penetrating into the fabric without actually causing damage. I regular iron is just a hot piece of metal. I’d like you to think about that a bit and think about what you’re really doing to your clothes. There is a reason why dry cleaners use steam to get rid of the wrinkles in your clothes. It’s really the only way to really work with an abundance of fabrics without actually causing them damage. When I say that this is easier on fabrics, I literally mean you will save money because your clothes will last longer. They’re less likely to tear, rip and even thin out. It can even help to keep the colors looking strong and the whites looking bright. I know when it comes to the colors of your fabrics most people think it is your laundry detergent, but your iron could be doing the real damage!
- Steam Irons Require Less Space: Just think of all that you need to do ironing. You need the iron, the ironing board and usually a place to hang up the clothing while you do other items. When you’re using steam you don’t need an ironing board. You just hang up the clothes and spray steam on it. This actually works a lot better for people that live in condos or apartments because you don’t have all this space for an ironing board. It’s something that takes up very little room.
- Cost Difference is Negligible: A lot of consumers think cheaply and for good reason. I don’t like throwing out my money when I have more important things for it. Like I mentioned in point one, your clothes can last a lot longer. Even if a steam iron was more expensive you could save money over the long run. But both irons are roughly the same. They essentially are made up of the same parts, only with one of the products producing much more steam. They both boil water, so the manufacturing aspects are almost identical. If you look for a sale, you’ll get a good price.
Consumer Reviews for Steam Irons
The point of this website is to help you with your purchase. It’s important to know what you’re getting because an iron isn’t as simple as it was ten years ago. It was actually a very basic device that did a very simple job. Now we have dozens of brands, electronics built into them with steam temperature and safety features that turn the iron off if left unattended. Reviews are a helpful aspect of things, but do you really need MY review? Or would you prefer to listen to someone that actually purchased the product and just gives their honest feedback? I think that is much more valuable as a consumer. At least I know that is honest.
